Installation Guide

Replacing your exterior door handles is a beginner-friendly DIY task. Difficulty: Easy. Estimated time: 30–60 minutes for all four doors. Tools needed: Phillips-head screwdriver, trim removal tool (optional), and a small flathead screwdriver for prying clips. Always work on one door at a time to keep parts organized.

Remove the interior door panel. Gently pry off the door panel using a trim tool. Disconnect any electrical connectors for windows/locks if necessary. Set panel aside.

Peel back the vapor barrier. Carefully pull away the plastic moisture shield to access the handle mounting screws. Use tape to hold it out of the way.

Remove the old handle mounting screws. Locate the two or three screws securing the handle to the door shell. Unscrew them with a Phillips driver and keep them safe.

Disconnect the handle rod (if applicable). On most models, the handle attaches to a metal rod. Unclip the rod from the handle lever using a small flathead or by hand. Remove the old handle from the outside.

Install the new handle. Insert the new handle from the outside. Reattach the rod to the lever inside the door. Align the screw holes and secure the handle using the original screws. Do not overtighten.

Reattach the interior panel. Replace the vapor barrier, reconnect any electrical plugs, and snap the door panel back into place. Test the handle function before closing the door.

Within 30 Days of Purchase

Please contact our Customer Service team to obtain a Pre-Paid Return Label within 30 days of your purchase. No postage is required for your shipment with this label. A return shipping charge will be deducted from your refund on returns of items that are not the result of a US85.com error.

Upon receiving, your return will be processed within 2-3 business days. You will receive a notification when your return has been processed.

After 30 Days of Purchase

If your purchase date is over 30 days and you are still not satisfied with your purchase, you will need to use your own shipping methods to return the item. US85 does not provide a pre-paid return label for returns over 60 days. We are unable to offer refunds on purchases over 30 days old.

Please allow approximately 2-3 business days for processing. You will receive a notification when your return has been processed.

Refund Process

For your safety, we will issue a refund to the card that was used to pay for your purchase. Normally it takes about 2-3 business days after we receive the package for your return to be processed. If you paid with store credit, that credit will be put back on your US85 account. There is no restocking fee applied to any returned goods.
