It operates on 12V DC (safe for most automotive electrical systems) and draws extremely low current — so you can leave it on all night without draining your battery. The wire is also IP65 rated, meaning it resists dust and splashing water, making it suitable for door sills and exterior accent lighting.
Installation is straightforward: simply connect the included inverter/driver to your car’s 12V power source (cigarette lighter or fuse box), then route the wire along interior panels using the provided adhesive clips. The wire can be cut to exact lengths every 2.5 cm, giving you total freedom to customize. Installation Steps
- 1 Plan the layout — Decide where you want the neon glow. Measure the route and select the right length (1m/2m/3m/5m). Mark any cut points (at 2.5 cm intervals).
- 2 Clean the surface — Wipe areas where you’ll place adhesive clips with isopropyl alcohol. Let dry completely for maximum hold.
- 3 Cut the wire (if needed) — Use sharp scissors to cut at the marked interval. Do not cut through the end connector — only cut the free end.
- 4 Connect to the inverter — Plug the wire’s 2-pin connector into the matching port on the included driver. Ensure it clicks firmly.
- 5 Power up — Connect the inverter's red (positive) and black (negative) wires to a 12V DC source (cigarette lighter plug, fuse tap, or battery). Test the lights before routing.
- 6 Secure and conceal — Snap the wire into the adhesive clips every 15-20 cm. Tuck excess wire behind panels or under carpet. Route the inverter in a glove box or under seat.

Within 30 Days of Purchase
Please contact our Customer Service team to obtain a Pre-Paid Return Label within 30 days of your purchase. No postage is required for your shipment with this label. A return shipping charge will be deducted from your refund on returns of items that are not the result of a US85.com error.
Upon receiving, your return will be processed within 2-3 business days. You will receive a notification when your return has been processed.
After 30 Days of Purchase
If your purchase date is over 30 days and you are still not satisfied with your purchase, you will need to use your own shipping methods to return the item. US85 does not provide a pre-paid return label for returns over 60 days. We are unable to offer refunds on purchases over 30 days old.
Please allow approximately 2-3 business days for processing. You will receive a notification when your return has been processed.
Refund Process
For your safety, we will issue a refund to the card that was used to pay for your purchase. Normally it takes about 2-3 business days after we receive the package for your return to be processed. If you paid with store credit, that credit will be put back on your US85 account. There is no restocking fee applied to any returned goods.
